DIRECTIONS AND INFO

Skarð is a horse breeding farm, owned by the family that lives here, and is about 900 acres. Nearest village is Flúðir, 11 km up road 30, where you find supermarket and restaurants.

HOUSE RULES:

1. Linen, sheets and towels are provided. Please put the one you use in the basket in bathroom after use.

2. Wash up everything used in the kitchen; pots, pans, dishes and glasses and put back in place.

3. Leave the house in the same condition as it was at your arrival.

  Directions to Skarð/Arngrimslundur:

  From Reykjavík to Skarð: Drive on road 1 through Selfoss, 15 km out of it, then turn left to road 30. Drive without turning for 20 km, then turn right, up the driveway to Skarð/Arngrimslundur, just before you come to a bridge over Stóra-Laxá river, which you do not cross.   The driveway is well marked with a sign that says: Skarð and Arngrímslundur.  

Taking road 30 and not crossing the bridge are most important, bridge is the best landmark.   When you come to the driveway to Skarð you drive you follow the signs Arngrimslundur guest houses to the cottage, which will be open and ready for you to arrive when it suits you best.
